Olga Mvicane released a new single called Kwa Dukathole.

Super star Olga Mvicane was born in 1944, started singing in school choirs and eventually went on to compete in local competitions that saw her bringing home armfuls of trophies. Hoping to make a career out of her talent, Olga moved from her birthplace of Transkei to Johannesburg in the mid-1970s.

In 1978, she secured a regular gig at the Pelican Club as a backing vocalist for the legendary Dick Khoza. She also worked with the Mahotella Queens for a long time.

Olga’s music is world class and in a class of its own as she infused all her difrent experiences over the years while sharing stages with the greatest of SA singers like Abigail Kubheka, Alec Khaoli, Stompi Mavi, Lazarus Kgakgudi and many others.

Olga later made her name as an actress, starring in a variety of Xhosa-language television dramas of the 1980s and 1990s and several television commercials.

Olga Mvicane is an actress, known also for Sarafina! (1992),that was one of the bigest Movies ever to come out of South Africa.

Her latest single Kwa Dukathole is the turning point of her career where she made a drastic comeback to give her fans everlasting satisfaction of who Olga Mvicane is.

Dukathole was composed by Olga Mvicane, Francis Muleso and Mawande Stuurman.

It brags with a star -studded personnel that played and sung their hearts out at Africa Global Music Studio. Dumza Maswana and Zandi Hlatshwayo on bvs and the rythm section made out of Mawande Stuurman – all keys, Khaya Mthiyane – bass, Urban Nobela – guitars, Ntokozo Mdluli – drums, Sinothi Luthuli – Maskhandi guitar, Mabeleng Moholo – Percs, Siphamandla Bembe – flugelhorn and produced by one of SA’s most respected producers Mawande Stuurman.
