The Democratic Alliance has laid criminal charges against the Mayor of Matatiele Local Municipality Sonwabile Mngenela.
The Matatiel Mayor has been alleged to have used municipal funds to book accommodation when he travelled to East London to attend a conference of the ANC in May 2022.
